WorkSafe is investigating the death of a 72-year-old man at Innaloo this afternoon.
The man was believed to have been struck by a reversing bobcat that was carrying out reticulation work at parkland near the Morris Road shops at Innaloo.
Inspectors travelled to the site soon after the incident and will interview witnesses and investigate the circumstances.
WorkSafe thoroughly investigates serious work-related injuries and deaths in WA with a view to preventing future incidents of a similar nature.
WorkSafe WA Commissioner Lex McCulloch said any work-related death was a tragedy, and relayed his sincere condolences to the man’s family.
