Ride to Port is a 1,000km/750km/500km cycle challenge for the KIDS Foundation in our annual ‘Ride to Port’ charity ride. Across 5 days cyclists will commence in Mansfield VIC and enjoy a picturesque ride through Albury to Canberra, experience a farm stay in Picton, whilst taking in the exquisite views of Shoal Bay and closing the ride at Port Macquarie NSW in the lead up to the 2013 Ironman event.

Within each of these beautiful locations the 500km group of cyclists will participate in our KIDS GIANT Bike bus program at a designated Primary School.

The 500km (Average speed 15KM/20KM PH) group of cyclists will commence their morning at a Primary School to actively show the children a safe, healthy and happy approach to cycling. Following a short school breakfast, the cyclists commence their day’s journey whilst the KIDS Foundation Injury Prevention and Education team in conjunction with GIANT, donate a class set of bikes to the senior class and commence a Safety & Injury Prevention program at the school.

The 1,000km and 750km (Average speed 25KM/30KM PH) participants do not participate in this program due to the time required to complete the day’s distances.
